Help to plan your move

I basically I researched all the resources online like about the university about the fees and about   what to expect

I read up on New Zealand had a Travel Guide and websites and obviously I talked to people who've been here on holiday

For me the most difficult things is is to get a visa so basically I will go to the website to check what other things I need to prepared

It's not really difficult at I just need   patience to get all the paperwork done and just plan ahead and achieve enough time

Text Question: What did you wish you had known before coming to New Zealand?

I wish should know that, the culture of New Zealand - because it's really different with my own country

I think it is mainly about the culture difference - my suggestion would be try to adapt this culture as soon as possible

... and I stick to the Kiwis here and learn about their culture which is it's really fun

I wasn't quite prepared for the changing weather patterns it's really stable where I'm from

I don't really know about the weather of Wellington I told this will be like chill or maybe cold but not that windy

If I can know the weather I might like bring a waterproof clothes but I don't have at that time yeah

Text question: How easy was it to settle in to living and studying in New Zealand?

I actually went to a hall in my first year – a student hall

I applied for a home study, through - from the University

It gets you prepared, and - for university life, and living especially in another country

… but after that I try to move out from the homestay and that's quite hard

Now because I'm living here I know there are like - Trade Me and other website I can find accommodation information

I wish I had sort of a better idea of just how much everything cost like – specifically?

You know the price for vegetables and for food, even for me – like, is quite expensive here

I've gotten quite a bit better budgeting my money now. You learn some some things are quite you know you can get quite cheaply - you just have to look for the deals

Text question: Do you have any tips based on your time in New Zealand?

The primary thing I would say is to try to sort out your accommodation as early as you can - because it can be sometimes, it can be a bit more difficult than you'd expect so do a lot of research don't but don't put it off until the last minute at all

I really want to know that everyone here is very friendly so I don't have to be worried that people might you know go against me

I kind of assumed that education here would be similar to Malaysia but it's not as a lot better and people a lot nicer and the lectures are much more professional

If I have known it earlier I probably will save a lot of nightmare when I was in Asia preparing for the study in here, yeah …
