Hi. My name is Julian Ramirez-Luna. I'm from Colombia and I'm here in Waikato Innovation Park.

Data Solutions, business development manager for Central and South America. I'm a civil engineer. I lived in a sugar cane plantation all of my life.

I realized that I couldn't move forward in my professional career because of my really poor English. We decided to come to this land to study. So, I went to Settlement Support here in Hamilton. I met Jo de Lisle. She gave me crystal clear suggestions about how to do it. I followed this, these suggestions through this I met the CEO of this place.

He gave me the opportunity, I started to work as an intern and through this whole process, I got work permits then work visa for 5 years and just 1 week ago I got my residence.

We saw this beautiful country and we realized we wanted to live here as long as possible. And for me, I told myself, for good.
