Simon Shaw - If we were living back home, we’d be probably doing the same things that we’d be doing before we left. Uhm, here we’re embracing a whole new culture. We’re seeing things; we could be skiing in the morning, and, uhm, surfing in the afternoon. Where we live, you know, an hour and a half in the car and we can be in the ski fields, or ah, we live twenty minutes from the beach. Ah my children’s sports: my son now has joined the Canterbury Talent Centre for the soccer in New Zealand. He wouldn’t have had that opportunity if we’d stayed back home. Uhm, you know, my daughter gets to ride horses, it’s just, it’s endless!

Conor Coady -It affords me opportunities to experience the outdoors. There’s quite a long summer here in compared with Ireland. I get to go sailing and, ah, I do a lot of spearfishing and, uhm, shore fishing, and it’s just a great place to live.

Diego Abrianos -Ah, we can have our skis and go to the mountain, five hours from our home and we can get our bikes down there on the biking lot and go to a ride on the beach. We can play soccer, we can play rugby…
